I've not used this kit, but it's been my expereince you can't go wrong with Kanter. Quality parts backed up by great service and a ton of knowledge.

I have used Kanter on both my '62 Monterey and my dads '49 Packard. With both cars, they sent me quality parts with great customer service. They are a little bit more expensive, but they also carry alot of parts that you simply can't find anywhere else (i.e. '49 Packard front end rebuild kit).

    Good Luck

Whatever you do, don't do a search for Kanter's .

You might find out this question has been answered a thousand times.

Most are just fine with Kanters products.

Here is the thing smarty pants, i did, and no one has used one for my application. this post was put up to see if anyone used one on this car. thanks alot. what is it with people on here. if everyone did a search, no one would post anything. wtf. sorry i dont spend as much time as others on here. i thought people liked to help others out on this forum, not just say, "did you do a search" as quick as you can type that you might as well just answer the question. pretty damn simple.

Well it sure seems that alot of people on here have one, so i just wanted to fit in;). i just cannot stand when you are looking for a simple reply and someone has to chime in with the popular, "did you do a search first" gets a little old. its not to often that someone on here has asked the exact same question as you and gotten the answer you are looking for. just asking for some opinions that is all. ok my at***ude rant is over.:D

I believe I just might be the guy your looking for,

I have a 1954 Ford "Ranch Wagon" and when I reworked my front suspension I purchased Kanter's Deluxe kit.

    I'm happy with it. HRP

I went with the Kanter deluxe front end kit for my '51 Mercury. I mainly chose them because they were the only ones that had the upper control arm pins. The kit was top notch with high quality parts. As mentioned, they are a little bit more expensive , but the quality is well worth it. The guys on the phone are cool and knowledgable.

They also have an ebay store under a different name. Do a search before you buy. I got mine on there for around $50 cheaper if I recall.

I also just got their new catelog that has coupons on the cover. They are as follows:
$50 off when you spend $500 code: CK1150
$75 off when you spend $750 code: CK1175
$100 off when you spend $1,000 code: CK11100

    Good luck!

'54 marked Ford's departure from the pin and link suspension and introduced the new independent suspension much as we know it today. HRP

Hey Baggs, I used their kit on my 53 vicky,I know I have the pins and not ball joints. It was a quaility product and when I put it on the aligament rack she came out great ...just saying.

thanks guys. i did purchase the kit today from them. i called instead of doing it online. spoke to a guy who seemed to really know what he was talking about. suprisingly, the kit was less than advertised. instead of 488.00 it was only 375! so that made me and the wife alot happier!! i think i will be happy with it. just hope it shows next week sometime so i can get going on it!!
