Bob met Karol hanging out at Ted Eaton's place. Karol was building a super hi-po I-6 .. the man was a Genius..... Not enough can be said about his Knowledge.... I wish I could have met him.
Karol was a also one of my hero's but, I was never a big Y-block guy. I had a '60 Ford, in the early '60's, with a 300 hp, 352 in it. Karol also set a Bonneville record at 157.9 mph with his '60 Ford Starliner, it was also, driven both ways from TX to Bonneville. His wasn't the 360 HP 352 but, a 300 hp one, bored .090 over, with .040 over 361 Edsel pistons. He did use the 360 HP heads and aluminum intake but, with a Isky cam. The combination of the Edsel pistons and 60cc heads, gave ~11.6/1 CR. I hope Karol's legacy is not forgotten and lives on many more generations, he gave so much. My he RIP
