Coz there's a new novel coming your way.

Penned by that famous old old Aussie codger Uncle Le Roi, AKA Le Roi 'Tex' Smith, a work of fiction so to speak. It's sumpin' he's always had in his mind but for some reason it got lost in there and not put on paper, until now.

Yup, you read it right the doyen of hot rod mechanix, a bazillion tech articles and tens of gazillions of magazines, Tex Smith has finally written a novel.

The book is ***led simply 1320 and is the story f an old hot rodder drag racer on a cross country trip and the adventures he has along the way. However there's a lot of the fictional characters in the story I seemed to recognise as I read it. So that's either half the fun or part of the test, see how many real names you can match with the fictional characters.

As with any of tex's stuff it's well written and provides a good lighthearted and refreshing read for anybody into the stuff we are into.

So keep an eye out at your favourite bookstore or if you happen to see the old bloke at an event this summer, tap him on the shoulder and ask if he'll sell you an autographed copy.

 

Any update on when this ***le might be available?

 

I got a copy at the Street Rod Nationals here in Geelong. I doubt it will be that long untilit is available in the US. Already wondering about the next issue.
