If it takes guts to sell cars, well fuck, I'm one brave sonofabitch.......

You can't have my 55 chevy though, piss off...

  2. Selling, definetly! Knowing there might be a struggle w/ your innner self after the fact. Letting something waste away on your property doesn't require much energy at all!

  3. So, as I understand this, at 50 we are washed up and should sit in a chair and wait for the reaper? And give our stuff up to the first kid that comes along? Good luck on that one skipper.

I've got two cars at the present time, my kids are more attached to them than I am. Of course each car predates one kid by a year each, so they always knew these cars.
Emotional attachment to a material possession is sometimes a link to the past so to speak. If holding on to that link is important to that person, who am I to say that they are wrong?

My mother was disabled due to a stroke, could hardly walk, but kept her expired drivers license. She kept it because it was a link for her, a memory of a better time.

I have a lot of links to my past and damn if anyone will tell me that I should give them up.

I've gotten criticism for hot rodding a almost stock car that could be easily put back to original. But you know, I saved it once from the crusher, it's my decision what to do with it. Even to the point of crushing it myself if I so see fit.
