What are the levers in the front quarters for, can’t see any crotch vents or the like?

That little car is a bad mofo. Makes me want to go back and take 2 more inches out of mine.

I think the trophy should be in a few more shots .lol I love the seat design. But my vote would be the yellow deuce with the black scallops and kidney beans. Screenshot_20240522-183423~2.png There's just something about yellow 5 window coupe ,but I can't put a finger on it. :)

Hot Rod of the Year. Oh boy! Louvers in the roof ? Chromed door hinges stand out in every picture like a sore thumb. Do you guys really prefer a wedge chopped roof over the old tried and true straight cut? And with the looks of this one there are one heck of a lot of cool rods out there more desevring of this award. The Speed Sport Oil 32 is just one of them. Really nice chop, nice headlights not those big ugly ones prefered by the B B brains these days. Buy it, Bolt it.

I like that Coupe, most cars look best with full hoods. Bob

Maybe younger members need to see an oil can the logo is based on.

  21. Good concept, good execution. What is the purpose of the vent holes in the inner door jamb- rockers?

The holes in the door jamb/ rockers are like that more or less on every 33/4 I’ve looked at?

also the speed sport yellow coupe is pretty trick. Looked it over at the roc last fall. If I recall correctly it’s got 1/4 elliptic springs on all four corners. They drove it a lot, and hard, seemed like they were having fun.

the winner of the hot rod of the year award sounds great if you can find yourself some
    Video of it cackling

To be fair I was also curious of the purpose,
Been watching a lot of 33/4 builds and it catches my attention almost every time

Rude dude. If you took the time to study this car you would see it’s not a buy it and bolt it on car. I doubt there’s a single catalog piece on the whole thing.

Just because it doesn’t have steamroller radial tires like you prefer shouldn’t be a reason to cuss it.

I did most of the wiring on this car. Although it's "basic" build, there are lots of little details you won't see unless you get a chance to see it in person. Early Cad engine power.

Hot Rod of the year? Sure looks nice, but is it a real hot rod?

Lets watch them run it through the Hot Rod Power Tour for the week, and lets see how it rates then.

Is it just another show rod, or was it built for real life use?
