Kelseys on Model A hubs - Do they need the spacer ring?

My dad is using stock mechanical brakes on his 30's/40's era 29 rpu.

We got the 32 heavy axle set up with 32 perches and were able to put the model A spindles, brakes etc back on and everything lined up. He is getting close to having a rolling chassis, so it is time to think about wheels.

Does he need to use the spacer ring on the hubs like you do on 40-48 hubs to run 16" Kelseys on the Model A hubs?

    Anybody know?

    Thanks,

    Neal

If they're flat, yes, if there is a 5mm raised part in the middle, no.
But hey I'm part guessing and part applying logic.
    I'm also very drunk.
