Looking for detail photos of Ken Schmidt's Deuce 3 window. This car has to be the baddest deuce 3 window alive. I've worn out issue 4 of hop up and need some more info or photos of this ride. Thanks for any help.
I knew at some point i was gonna regret not taking more pics of it!! A good friend of mine knows him well.. He had the "Hop-Up" crew over for a picnic. We all went on a cruise last summer around the southern tier area of NY. I was around that damn thing all day, i even sat in it..but didn't get many detailed pics of it. Here's a couple i did take.. Tony..
Ken took me for a ride in it out at Bonneville. It's got a sweet running flatty in it, and it definitely had enough get up and go to push it around the salt. I think I've got some crappy pictures of it from Bonneville around here somewhere. Ken's a swell guy if you ever get a chance to meet him.

Yes, Ken's coupe's a masterpiece--- and Ken's buddy's chopped 3 window is just as cool. I took a roll of film of these coupes at Bonneville, but sorry, no digital. There have been 3 articles in American Rooder of these two coupes over the last 2 years, including how they did the amazing chops and even how they built the low chasses, with the front spring mounted to the front radius rods. Borrow a buddy's back issues of the mag.
That's seriously one of my favorite cars built in the last 20 or so years... grille shell contrast was brilliant.
Here's a shot of Ken at the start of the Rolling Bones Reliability Run last October. Ken's putting the finishing touches on a really cool '32 roadster. It's being built for Bonnieville '05. He plans to drive it to LA for the Fathers Day show in June.
I sent the link for this thread to Keith Cornell. I don't know if either have seen these pic's of their car's.
I saw Keith's 3-window a few years back at Syracuse....nearly krapped myself in the parking lot....I belive Ken is a seroius western/painter...there is still hope fer me yet!...those 2 dueces personafiy a quinntessential hotrod too me!!!!!.............sorry,spelling sucks.
Here's a shot of the '32 roadster ken's building now. Sorry about the poor quality. Had to reduce the picture so much it lost a lot of detail.
Thanks a heap guys, that shot in the cockpit is cool, I was imagining driving full speed in that thing on the lake bed with a cramped neck and no visability.Could anyone tell me which issues of American Rodder they were in???? I've stopped buying it since it changed format again, and guess I missed out in a big way. The roadster looks equally impressive.
They are all beautiful pieces. Anybody that goes to the trouble to use antique exhaust hangers is ok with me. I've got a couple stashed for the roadster redo.
Here are a couple more. No, I didn't take them. I'm not sure where I got these from. It was in the March 2002 American Rodder, before the change.
Those shots really show off it's pouncing profile, thankyou muchly.March 2002.... I'll do some research on that. I think this is my all time favourite deuce after the Doane Spencer roadster.
