Kentucky Dragstrips

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by 39 Chevrolet, Feb 27, 2008.

  1. I was stationed at Fort Campbell Kentucky in early spring 1969. There was a drag strip on Highway 40 down the street from the base I think, called Montgomery County Dragway.

    Anybody remember this place ?

My Dad was stationed at that base a couple of years before then, I've heard him talk about the track that you spoke of, I'll ask him if he can remember the name of it. I'll try to post it tomorrow after I see or talk to him! ................Thanks, Stretch.

He said the name of that track was New Providence Dragway, and he also told me, admission was $1.50 per person. That was in 1967!
