New to the board, figured a opening post is in order.

I started my car years in triumphs buying and selling anything under 2500lbs with no roof I could find. Moding, breaking, wrecking (I dont recomend wrecking spitfires, its kinda dangerous) and rebuilding.

Time moves on and the insane look for the obscure. What good is having a car you can get parts for? Now Ive settled on a few bits , the formost a custom bodied basket case Lea Francis known as the Gertler 'Rumplestilskin'

Every spare $ goes to buy bits I can't afford or find and might not even use for the project.

From the reading here it seems like I just might have found a few with my same malady

check out www.lfoc.org for Lea Francis info. Gertler was a racecar builder making customs, sprints and midgets a**** other stuff.

Didn't have time this morning to tour the entire website, but that new prototype is pretty slick. Have they actually produced any new vehicles based on that vision? Just curious. I'm sure they would be WAY out of my price range...Thanks, Don.

Welcome from just north of you in Westminster. Tell me you weren't wrecking Triumphs on purpose? No love for the car......just it's already the same dimensions as zipping yourself into a suitcase so how you could walk away from a wreck in one is beyond me. You may be insane enough to fit in either way.
