December 22, 2004 For immediate release Contact: Ryan Cochran - Knowbody Racing ryan@jalopyjournal.com Kevin Lee - Knowbody Racing spun@jalopyjournal.com (St. Joseph, MO) While meeting in a small corner office in a ****ty little town, Kevin Lee and Ryan Cochran have laid down initial plans to join the 200mph club. While an actual blueprint for success is sketchy right now, the two plan to drive a Reher Morrison SBC equipped '29 coupe from Kansas City, MO to Bonneville in 2006. Afterwards, the crazy ****ers expect to somehow pull a 200mph slip out of their ***es (which will be very sore at that point). More to come soon... Very Soon.
I'm planning to go back to Bonneville in 2005, I guess I have plans for 2006 too. Are you taking application for crew yet?
Go for it, you only live once, but you can **** your pants multiple times in the same life span. I wish I had the skills and the balls.
Thats so ****ing rad. wish you guys best of luck. I believe we (throttlers) are going for the same goal in 2006, sure hope it comes thru.. we will see you there..
We will make our own 200mph club if we have too... And I sense doubt from you guys! The only reason we posted it is so that we would have to follow through! Disclaimer: Kevin and I are both B-Ville Naive. We have no idea how hard it is to go 200mph in a car shaped like a brick. Please don't ruin our ambition and dreams by telling us its impossible... Just laugh at us behind our backs...
Going 200 on the salt won't get you in the club but it'll still kick ***. Setting a RECORD over 200 will. I hope you guys do both. I'd reccommend you draft off those crazy Canadian HAMBers. They can help you get started in the right direction. Hopefully Don and CWORD will be in the books by then. They're getting closer and closer. Have faith. The RED SOX won, anything is possible now. This isn't down to the corner and hang a left racing. It's more like "Second star on the left and straight on till morning..." Yoda says: There is no try...There is only HAUL ***... Bring a Mag VW block to the bend in the road this year as an offering to the gods of SPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED! I'll bring the steel wool and lighter fluid.
Not to sound gay or ***-kissin, but if there's anything I can offer to help in any way, let me know. I think I know the answer already.....y'all are some pretty independent ****ers Bonneville '06 or bust. mid-tenn mike Poor Boys CC TN
"200 MPH in a'29 coupe from Kansas City, MO to Bonneville in 2006" Watch out for radar along the way.
Damn, I may have to skip Speed Week 2005 just to be there for 2006. You know of course you'll have to bring it and run it at the HAMB Drags that year as well.

Sounds like a lot of fun! Best of luck on this venture! Can't wait to see progress pics as you build it up. Gotta be honest, I think your chances of making a brick go 200 are much better with that RM SBC than Kevin's flathead!
You guys realize we probably have enough Bonneville HAMBers to make up a club and join the SCTA as a sponsor club now? The "Hokey ***ed Mad Bonnevillers"!!!!
Do you know yet what cl*** your planing to run in? Sounds like a ***S plan, and nothing beats ***s. I'd give a hand if one is needed on the salt, although I'm sure there will be no shortage of help.
