  1. Thanks a lot! I'll look into and study the door issue a little further. Love your coupe by the way

Thanks for the compliment. I've watched with great interest as you did the roadster, as I have one that I'm working on now. Had to new make a new windshield stantion mount, replace cowl panels and I just finishing repairing door inner panels for new skins(this was NOT a solid barn find). Love the banger you did, but I've got a 59A, '39 trans and a nice V8 quickie. PM anytime if I can help with the '33.

  3. I have a K memeber, V8 and 39 trans for the roadster, but I wanna get the 33 going before I dive into that. Thats why I threw that ol roadster together, so I could drive it around while I work on the 33....I think the 33 will take me a few years to get on the road.

  4. Was over at Hamber F-head's, he lives north of seattle. He worked a deal with me on this orriginal seat. It's for a 32 5W I belive, but very close. Another piece down! Thanks again Bruce!!

I purchased Kevin's 34 Ford about a week ago and really enjoying the car. Probably driven it about 200 miles. Everyone who has seen the car loves it and those who know a lot more than me about building a car, say he built a great car. I had been looking for about 2 years with the help of my good friend, Tom and when I saw this car, I just knew it was the one I had been searching to buy. I have a lot of extra parts Kevin included with the car and may not use them all, but I do need one thing - the back window drip pan. If anyone has a lead on one, I am interested.

  8. Donnie T- I love your car, I've talked a lot with Kevin about the build as I want mine to be a lot like it. Good score, you could not have bought a more perfect 5W!
Can't help you on the drip pan though

Actually, I think '32 through '34 are the same. When I bought mine for a '32 the guy said it was from a '34.

  10. Thanks Doug, his one sure fits/looks right. It's just for mock up anyways, I've got a nice heated Glide seat coming.

Chris, this is good advise, he knows what he is talking about. That roof isn't that bad.

Doug, from the pics I've seen of both the '32 and 33/34 seats they look slightly different, but once upholstered, I'm sure only the very anal expert could tell the difference. But the ones I've seen have been restos, so it may be the kit or what ever used different wood. From what I can see the 32 looks to be a better design, it has a little lumbar bump in it and the back support looks stronger. Other than that, the "S" shaped side panels look more vertical in the 32 than the 33/34. But again, these are restos vs. the gennie Chris posted.

The only thing I know for sure is that that seat frame is exactly like the one I have in my coupe. Whether they are all the same, who knows?

    Hahahaha....you've GOT to be kiddin'......:D

  17. Ya think :D

  18. Thats the car, guy just dropped it off. I bought it on Ebay and he delivered it outta Oregon. It actually looked worse, it did not have a rear end under it...I slid that under it to roll it around :D

  19. Small update. Really leaning twards putting a 303 Olds in this sucker, so today decided to mock up the engine in there to see what'll have to be done to fit it. I must say, thing looks BADASS!!!

I'm pretty sure you are going to have to do that. Looks Badace. What kind of modifications will you have to do?

  22. I'm kinnda on the fence.
With the flathead, it would be pretty simple. 59AB, 39 trans, stock 33/34 rearend. Dropped axle with stock spring and unsplit wishbone.

With the Olds I'll have to cut/alter the firewall, split the wishbones, run a different tranny and rear end. So I'm kinnd up in the air on what I wanna do.

I think it's a no brainer Chris, the Olds belongs in this car. So you have to cut the firewall a bit??? No big deal, I have confidence that you'll make that look easy. I think your roadster deserves a Flathead but the coupe is screaming to keep that engine nestled between the framerails. As I said, I would look into the full floating axles and such to keep the banjo rear but this is your dream project dude. Go all the way with this one for sure.

If you don't run the 303 Olds I will round up a mob and hunt you down like the Sasquatch you are. No brainer!!!

  26. Yeah, yeah yeah. It's not just the Olds that I'm wishy-washy on...I would just love to run the Ford three speed and rearend. I mean, I'm sure if I was easy on the thing it would be fine. I look at cars like Robert Lomas coupe, the rollin bones, ect...they all run banjos. Maybe I will look into beefin up the rear, mounting the Olds and some sort of early trans...

  27. Yeah, but only because I like em :D

  28. I know, but my favorites were the ones with a buch of Ford shit all screwed together :D
