Figured I'd dig this thread up to get some of ya interested. There has been a ton of things going on in the cyclekart world since this thread was posted. Things are much easier to get and purchase for these including the wheels. So much more info has been added on the Cyclekartclub.com forum. You can read great info just like on here, but strictly for cyclekarts. Build pages for days including mine. Lots of really cool karts. We now have "races" all over the country and all over the world. I just got back from Leguna Seca in Monterey California. We got to run a short track and a couple laps around the main track. I got mine up to 65mph which was awesome coming down off the corkscrew. If your interested I highly recommend visiting the forum, or feel free to reach out to me for any info. Here is a pick of my kart and some others. This is the first front engine kart. I've beat the heck out of this thing. Been on some rough orchard roads racing to smooth paved tracks. Here is the original 1928 DeSoto I modeled mine after. This is the whole essence of Cyclekarting. Build as close of a resembling kart as you can by scaling it down. I've still got small touches I want to do like chrome grill, red wheels, windshield and dash amongst other things. Here are some other Karts from different events.
