Event Coverage Kid still busts my balls

Left the house 6am yesterday heading to the Ventura Nationals with my Son driving my 56 and Girlfriend and I in her 56. I'll let my Son's story tell the rest.

"Morning cruise to Ventura Nationals started off with...and That's why I carry my tool box. Lol. The jam nut for the ball stud that the bell crank swivels on had left the building. Went to shift back into gear after coasting down the hill but I had no clutch pedal. Any how pops and I MacGyvered it with a body bolt and got it back ingauging. Pretty cool day with the family."

I can't laugh remembering that a few years back I drove half way across Montana without a working clutch linkage because a piece had come loose and I didn't have a jack that would lift the truck up to be able to get under it. I finally stopped at a service station on Lolo P*** and borrowed a floor jack and used my spare and a block of wood to block the truck up for safety.

It looks like the grand kid may have had the most fun for the day though.

 

He's a night owl like his Mom. The earlier portion of the day wasn't that fun being around him. Very cranky.

Ventura was great, low 70's. But living just east of Los Angeles 90's plus and even hotter today.

Pretty much but I've seen my Mom dip mussels into it a few times.

It’s funny,,,,,every time I see the word Ventura,,,,I hear the theme from the Rockford Files .
California is great,,,,at least sometimes .
