It's these threads on the hamb that really hit me hardest, sometimes these guys have never even met you, send their prayers, best wishes, money and parts to keep somebody's head up and some faith and support. It's something not often seen in the world today and something I'm proud to have been brought up with and be surrounded by guys with hearts this big. I may be a broke *** college student, but I'm always sure to offer up a couch, a tow, a ride, spare parts or a few extra bucks for somebody in need. Whoever the owner is I wanna see a pic of ur *** in this beast spinning tires and a big *** smile, thats the pic I think we all want
Looks like the bones have plates welded on to reinforce the spring mounts... nice detail and definately stronger / safer. CC
I love the time spent rounding the ends of the spring leafs into a piece of Art Deco. Prayers are with you cool builder, whoever you are, living life full throttle.
The whole thing is great, but that frontend setup is the best. Awesome ingenuity and fabrication - keep strong!
Awesome ride and love the front end set up!!!! Can't wait to see some updated pictures gettin posted. Agree on keep on kickin that Big C's ***!!! Both my father and father in law have... So I know it can be done! We're all prayin for ya! MB
Put an extra pair of undershorts under the seats. If you don't need them your p***enger will for sure. frank
Flat *****'n!!! If driving that beast isn't motivation to beat cancer, i don't know what is!! I love the front suspension, especially since I designed up the same shock mounting for my A. This is the first time I have seen it done. Here I thought I was being innovative... Damn fine workmanship indeed.
Now that could cause me a few trips in front of the Judge . . . probably cost me a bunch to wipe the smile off my face. Great front end fabrication work!
This car made me think of another blown Chrysler-powered T that was featured in R&T maybe 15 years ago. I thought the guy who built this did an amazing job of wrapping a little compact roadster around an awesome engine, and painting the valve covers body color was an inspired idea to sew the whole thing together visually. The first time I saw this thing, I thought that if the engine is working like it should, it would turn your hair white the first time you punched it. I wonder what became of it.
good to see others dont let **** keep em down... cancer aint no joke but I find it depressing to see folks totally give up when presented with it. Not 6 months after me and my wonderful wife were married we found out she had Non-hodgkins lymphoma....an evil little strain and it was already in stage 4, the docs didnt think a pe***e 24 y/o would survive the treatment, she bucked up and hit it head on, 2 runs of chemo and a brutal radiation therapy left her in a coma for over 2 weeks, I refused to start making funeral plans (against manys advice) and she pulled it out and is now 6 years cancer free, hell the docs even told her she couldnt have kids after what her body went through....we now have a 1 y/o (that digs dads cars) She made it a goal to run a marathon when she got healthy...of course I couldnt let a girl beat me (I hate runnin and have two shot knees and a bad back from a helo mishap) so I supported her and ran the stinkin marathon with her...we wernt the fastest but we ran the entire time and she made it mid pack...one of the most proudest moments in my life (for her) she's training for another one post kid....this one she's on her own...me and my son will watch and cheer her on (I was an idiot once....but I aint stupid, one marathon is enough for me...)
THAT is an awesome story. Thank you for sharing. Sounds like you got a real winner there, count your blessings.
Mark is one of my cousins and my uncle's best friend. He's recovering well after having kemo and such last year, but is still fighting it all. He's excited about the car coming together, and his nephew (who I'm talking to at the moment about it all) is curious about who put up the article... So, knowing that would be good Thanks, and god bless. -Gregory- (Edit: I just read the part about "anonymous." Nevermind the question!)
Anyone know how Mark is doing? This is one killer looking ride! I love the windshield and posts - what is it from? Steve
Oh hell! Thats the cancer car! Mark was just on here with a finished update. I recognize the Longhorns! I wish we had larger thread dates on here
