1F27D3B7-1AC8-4E21-BE0E-1770DF146C26.jpeg So far the Noico product is easy to work with. It’s also thicker than the competitors
Getting at the firewall now, may as well pull heater out,,,it’s only 3 bolts

Well, I'd like that info also. Mid-'70s-'90s GM cars dropped headliners like pantaloons after a coupla years. Wife's off topic '94 BMW (convertible w/hard top) did it this year, "Chicken Little was right!"
We have 105* days here in summer, too. I'd like to do my F100, if sure about the 'stick'.

image.jpg I wrapped tape around a fibreglass mat roller. Works excellent rolling the product for good adhesion
Tough to have this much fun with your clothes on

I’m bringing this old thread up. How does kilmat hold up under a headliner in the summer heat? No one seems to have addressed that yet so I’m seeing if there’s any feedback from the 5 years since this thread was started. Anyone have success since 2019 with this stuff? I used it in another car and liked it but I didn’t use it in the headliner (original headliner is still in the car). I have a bunch of kilmat on hand and will probably use it in the floors and doors on my 40.

  9. Great! We have Kilmat for our '50 Ford sedan, I just got to get motivated to work on it!

I don't have the Kilmat brand, I have the NOICO brand in my 48 Plymouth Coupe on the inside of the roof, with out a head liner. It looks just like the day I put it in in 2017. No issues what ever. I see no reason the Kilmat would be any different. If the metal was clean and it was applied correctly, time does not have much effect on the stuff.

I also have the NOICO brand in my 49 truck cab. Been there since 2020. Still stuck good, no issues. Best money I've spent.

I've had it stuck in the roof of my 55 since 2020 with no issues. I don't have the headliner in yet but the Kilmat is still sticking.

I also saw this stuff today. It's probably a lot more expensive than the kilmat but it's another option:

I put kilmat on the underside of the roof of my F100 before last summer, so almost two summers now, and it's still stuck on there just fine.

I also have 500 miles around town with it being the only floor mat, and I have been careful with my feet but it's holding up just fine. With wear, it just gets smoother, loses its texture as your feet slide over it.

I went with Fat Mat (Rattle Trap) from Amazon, I have it on the inside of the roof. I have been out with it on 100 degree days, still there and no smells at all. 521-007.JPG
