I saw this on the tonup website and i would like some more pics or info on it like what did it start as and how much of the ducati did he use? I would like to build one similar down the road. Thanks
I can't really tell from the pic, can you send a link to the full sixe pic if there is one. But it doesn't look like he used the trellis frame. maybe the front end. A better pic would tell.
There was a future on this one and another 2v 900 based chopper in cycle world 2 months or so back. i cant tell from that pic which one this is, they were both similar, using the same motor (900 2v) but one retained more of the oem ducati bits vs the other one. imho, they both look like complete and totall ass, and i would not piss on either if they were on fire. Ducati has a proud racing heritage, its about cafe racers & sport bikes NOT choppers. But, thats just my unsolicited opinion. here is a link to my 9002v project that started out as an ss sp. Dont get me wrong, i dig choppers, just not when they are made out of Ducatis. http://pomadepete.com/kustom900sssp Pete
I agree, its badass for what it is, but even my twisted conscience could never "sanction" that unless someone REALLY had a tough time deciding what to do with a wrecked bike... akin to making a hot dog cart outta an old dragster...
