Haha I'm glad I'm not the only one that does that. I saved those sites for my own future spending sprees.

I've also had my eyes on some of those dies too. They would be real handy to have around, along with $187,921 worth of the other cool tools on those sites hehe

if you have a lathe you can make these dies pretty easily and save alot of money....

just get a piece of tubing and radius the inside of the end...then get a piece of solid the same outside diameter of the tubing...then machine a step in the solid so it fits into the tubing...make a reveresed radius so it matches the tubing's end...then machine the face of the solid part so it has a bit of a sharp edge on it...take a grinder and cut grooves in the endge so its not a round edge anymore but a wavy edge thats still somewhat sharpened....
finally drill the center and tap it for a big bolt....then weld a thick washer on the tubing....drill the bolt size in the sheet...assemble it and tighten....mine works pretty good for about 20 minutes work and scrap materials

by the way....by sharpening the edge i mean so its not just 90 degress...but it doesnt have to be razor sharp or anything

    good luck

    Jim,
I have a brand new 2" punch and flare I bought from Mittler Bros. two weeks ago. It is item number 1300-017 on their website and it sells for $115 plus shipping. I bought one for me and one for my brother but he already has one. I never even opened the box on his.

It's yours for $100 and I'll pick up the tab for shipping.
