kinda sad, just got the news my first car just got in a crash, i know it isnt a hot rod or anything but it was the first car i did work on and stuff. The kid told me too he just got his liscense and he was driving the car around unispectd and not registered. Thanks Nate
I understand what you mean, Nate. I get sentimentally attached to anything I drive for a while. This was true even before I could drive. I cried when my parents sold our '78 Fiesta - funny now, but it wasn't then. I hated the '86 Jimmy I drove in high school (especially its Fat Hack Special (TM) 2.8L V6) but I keep trying to think up ways to use its pieces in future projects just to "keep it alive" so-to-speak. Do good with that Comet, man.
Im not one for putting down someones ride but you actually did that on purpose...I agree the car committed suicide.

i thought it would be a funny car to build, now lets not all make fun about me at once! I sold to my friend that didnt have a car and liked that since it had a ahooga horn. Nate

There's a punk kid that drives up and down my street that has an aaoooga horn on his vintage 4 dr chevette. He's kickin' it old skool, yo.
The first vehicle I ever owned AND drove (my first car hasn't run in 30 years and who knows when it will ) was a really*****py '78 Dodge longbed with a slant six 4-speed, that I got for $300. The MANUAL steering was insanely loose, I couldn't see out the back thanks to the topper, it did 0-60 in like 2 minutes, it was deafeningly loud at highway speeds, the windshield leaked all over the steering column in the rain, the driver's side window would just fall down and wouldn't roll up properly, I had brake lines blow out 2 seperate times in like 3 months, it barely started and it dieseled when I shut it off, and then on top of it all the heater fan seized up so I had no heat. But god I miss driving it... The good part is that I "sold" it to my dad, so that he could sell it for me. It's still sitting there, and I could get it back if I wanted to. I think I might just do that, parts for it are insanely cheap
hahahhahahaahhahahaahahahahahahahahahaahahahhhhahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahaahhahaahhaahahahahhaahahahahahhaahahhah er er er errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!! mexi cholo starter kit
Too bad you could have got top dollar on ebay with that Rat Rod,Rockibllie,Vintage,Hot rod, custom, von dutch thing. All it was lacking was a set of dagmars to set it off.
Sorry to hear that nate, looks like it was something fun to play with, even though it wasn't old steel.
its all good, i have my comet now and it is way kooler than that!! the car did do good burnouts though!! Nate
Bought this toyo van for $900 last fall when I put my wagon away for the winter. About a month later I watched from my window as a RUN AWAY milktruck careened down my inner city street and WHAM took out my car that was parallel parked on the street. It was smashed good on the pass side and the drivers side took a good hit on a street sign. I drove it like that for another 10 mos until one day it started to run bad so I settled up with the insurace co. They paid me out $2300 in Nov and with the $1400 profit from the deal I bought my A rpu.
