Well , this is tech-week , and the only thing I have to offer is this, So here goes : I was given (4-Free ) a 4th deuce Xmbr , from a Long wheel base pickup , and I thought it would be nice to make it work out in my roadster-chassis [IMG]. It is a not so nice lookn`piece , and even worse lookin`when mounted backwards ... , Well ; I farmed the job out , and this is how it came out ...

After this pic , the "c" has been welded , and next is the rivets. The idea is that this will stiffen the frame , and it`s done with a real deuce-part [IMG]

What is the cross shaft/rocker on your brakes? It looks like a Ford forging there.

Hi [IMG] Chopped50.. Thanx for your kind words !
Dirk ..The wheels are 16" / 4" , and the tires are Firestone ( coker ) 6.00 / 16" . I realy wanted 5.50 / 16 , but the WW size did nut match my 7.00 rear tires , so the 6.00`s is what I ended up buyin`. My old Dropped & filled I-beam is a bit wide , so I might have to replace it [IMG]
    Bruce .. Yes , your`r right ( as allways [IMG]) The cross-over is from a `35 / `36 Ford [IMG]

Will the added crossmember allow the rear axle to move up and down?

That is impressive! Henry designed that part just for this, and you figured it out!

Manyoldcars..I had to make a "C" in the midle , and then I had to trim it for wishbone clearance . The frame felt more stabil after the x-member was added , so I will keep it [IMG]
Bruce .. Glad you liked it [IMG]

Klaz - Your heap is looking real good.

I really like your use of old Ford parts. I am trying to use as many as I can on my pile of parts.

I will have my pile rolled out of the shop in the next day or two. I will take some progress pics and post them.

    Keep up the good work.

klazurfer. Nice progress photos, just noticed the rear spring is not connected yet, guess you will have enough clearance with the crossmember.
