Projects KING Caddy - '56 Cadillac Eldorado build.

Nice save! Funny You wound up using a ´57 motor, my neighbor has a ´57 w/the stock 365, tells me that one has a one-yr-only waterpump.
Anyway, glad You got rid of those bubble skirts, and some decent metalwork going that this style of car deserves. FWIW, I like the idea of that engine-color met purple on the car, it would really bring out all the various, beautiful shapes on the car so much better than some dark metallic that was also pitched.
In keeping with the car´s cl***y shape and character, I´d also stick to simply choosing the color and rollers of my best liking(light metallic, deep-dish chr.rev´s on plump whitewalls lowered on air suspension), and steer clear from any and all add-ons such as skirts,side-pipes or scallops detracting from it´s beautiful lines...Less is sometimes more, just my 74c.

 

I actually had to swap the water pump off the '56 motor because the radiator inlet was on the wrong side. Worked out for the best because the '56 pump was new.

The '56 pump was also a one year only item, and different for air conditioned cars.

Just part of the challenge of building a Caddy.

 

I just bought a 56 Eldo Seville.. Same Owner since the 60's..
