    Doggone right!!

Let me tell you, it is not fun getting that front clip apart, lol. But it'll be worth it in the end. And yeah, I can't wait to drive it. Not too much longer!

Right on time again! Funny guy!!!:D

Today, I got the inner fenders, rad support and hood latch panel stripped of paint. The undercoating on the backside of the inner fenders was a ***** to get off.

Primer and paint on all that mess tomorrow!!!!

I got the inner fenders, radiator support and hood latch panel painted. It was probably too hot and I got some runs. Color sanding will straighten that out but I'm not looking forward to it, haha.

    Pics later.

I had that problem Sunday too......probably shouldnt have eaten those hardboiled eggs Saturday night at 11:45. BTW all this talk about that truck thingy is really getting in the way of this otherwise awesome thread.

  15. Terd- That is a way BAD looking engine. Keep up the good work. Your club is the ****s, and I mean that in a good way.
    Later,

Terd this truck is coming out amazing! How much por 15 did you need for the frame? Is it gloss or semi gloss?

Now you'll see white in the wheel wells.

John Travolta can't screw up anything.

    Thanks tater!!!

OK, but we'll have our work cut out for us, lol. A couple of decent runs there.

Thanks! I used a quart for the frame including the suspension from the bed forward.

I parked it out there so it wouldn't have little white speckles of paint all over it. If I got paint on her Cadillac, I'd be living at your house. :D

I can't afford porkchop striping right now, lol. Too much other **** to buy in the meantime.

And Liberace Roadster may have already been used. But not Liberace's Apple Bag. Or less subtle, Liberace's Ball Sack. Well, you get the idea. But I like Purple Reign best so far.

Today, I got some small nitpicky things done. Nothing really picture worthy though. I found a long lost box of bolts that allowed me to re-install my shortened drive shaft. I got the wiring pulled back through the firewall and routed pretty proper. I got the exhaust manifolds' gaskets on along with the gaskets for the actual short stretch of chrome exhaust. I got the generator mounted. I got the cab mounts all tightened up. I got the trans crossmember all tightened up and bolted in.

Jeremy worked on a fitment issue I had with the valley pan. The stock temp sender would not allow the Eelco valley cover to slide far enough back. So he ground about maybe 1/4" off the back of the valley cover. So now the bolts go straight in like they're supposed to. He's taking it to drill it and grind some fins to accept a rubber grommet for a pcv.

Tomorrow, I've got to make a parts run to get some supplies. And I hope to get the rest of the engine gaskets on (valve cover, valley pan, intake, carbs, water pump, water outlet, oil filler and fuel pump). I also plan to make lines for the oil filter in and out. And I hope to get the steering arms bent, they're a little too close to the tires. Then get the pitman arm back on and the toe adjusted from bending the steering arms in. If that weren't enough, I hope to get the front clip bolted back together and the wiring hooked back up.

After that, all that really remains is gas pedal to carbs, carb linkage, tv rod linkage, and making a floor shifter. Not much. I wanna drive this thing in the worst way!!!
