I got some good solid stuff done yesterday. I got the generator adjuster and generator mounted. Jeremy brought back the now drilled valley pan. So I got that with it's gasket in. I also installed gaskets for the water pump, water outlet, oil filler tube, fuel pump and intake. I ordered carb base gaskets that will be here Saturday. ****ie bent and flared me some oil filter lines.

Here's the short list of what's left.
    Engine wiring hooked back up.
    Front clip installed.
Gas pedal to carbs and carb linkage.
    TV rod linkage to carbs.
    Fab a floor shifter mount.

Engine wiring and front clip is maybe a day's worth. The other stuff shouldn't take too long.

Oh what, my rad ad **** gasket doesn't get love? That was the best one you've ever seen you son of a *****! When you name all 326 Horses that you have with that thing, you better name one of them JJ after the gasket that afforded you 1hp.

Oh, sorry I forgot. Jeffrey hand made me with love the one gasket not commercially available for this engine. That would be the oil filler tube. Very nice attention to detail and overall a wonderful gasket maker!

Well I'm glad everyone can get a good chuckle at my expense. After all that's why I'm in the gayest club in the world, The Iron Lords. We love unicorns and rainbows, puppies in baskets, each other and hugging. And ****ie gives the best hugs and loves when Terd whispers in his ear

Here's a small clip I made of what the Iron Lords are about and what we do when we're not stripping paint from cars.

Hey Terd how about "g**** smuggler" for a name? Then someone else in the club can paint their car yellow and name it "banana hammock"

How I missed this thread I will never know.......but damn that thing is rad! I love my truck but seeing this makes me wish (again) that I had kept the straight axle and put more detail in the engine bay. Oh and before I forget this has to be the most comedic build thread ever! I cant remeber the last time I laughed this much (outloud) on the HAMB. Im lucky I had swallowed my drink as Bob Ross showed up!!!! WAY TO GO Terd & Iron Lords. Golf clap now...........

I got my valve covers and gaskets tightened up. I had to use some hardware I didn't really want to use (allen heads). The bolts I had chromed had heads that were too big to get a socket on or tighten properly. They are normal size hex head bolts, just not enough clearance on the valve covers. I'm looking for a nice looking alternative to those allen heads if anyone has any tips. I don't like those tall t-bar things or wing things by the way.

I also got my front clip back together today. Its ready to go back on the truck once everything else is finished up.

So now, here's the short list...
Bend steering arm for tire clearance.
Gas pedal to carbs linkage and carb linkage.
    TV rod to throttle linkage.
    Fab floor shifter.
Set front clip back on the frame.
Engine and front clip wiring re-connected.
    Top up fluids.
    Burnouts.
