I have seen many different ways that these spindle stop for turning radius are installed. Some have the longest part of the stopper in the front and others at the rear. Which is the right way or does it matter. Thanks Frenchy
Yes, it dose matter , the lock pins are tapered. They should only fit one way, with the stop nut to the rear. .................Jack
I put them to the rear and put a black rubber crutch tip kinda thing over each one. I find one at the hardware store that is a tight fit and it keeps the paint or chrome on the spindle from being damaged when the stop nut hits it. Don
If your stop nut is to short to hit the spindle, use some chrome long wheel nuts. Try different lengths.
If you saw somebody with the stops on the front??? they must have had the axle mounted backwards. There is a machined area on the spindle for the stop to rest... Note them big ol' 600X16's just touch the split bones with the wheel turned all the way to the stop.
