Kingpin Diagram???? 37-41 FORD

    I could use this as well - I have a box of parts and I heard there is a certain way they have to go, certain washers on top etc., or they don't work for so long. It may be idiot proof - but if it can be done wrong - I'll surely force it together that way with a BFH

    Easy without a diagram. Thrust bearing goes below the axle, with the open side down for drainage. Hand pack like a wheel bearing. The thrust washers or shims go above the axle, to reduce clearance if needed to .015 or so. Felt washers go under the KP cap on top of the spindle. Install the bushings and preferably hone to a "palm push" fit for the KP's. You're done!

    Thanks, That's what I couldn't remember - The bearing direction,- makes sense - open side down. Flamedabone told me that

     
  8. anyone have a part number for the bearing so as i can walk into the local napa and buy one (or two as it were)??
