I am replacing the kingpins (spindle bolts) and bushings on a '47 Ford Pickup and have a couple of questions. What type of grease do you use for ***embly? I am thinking of wheel bearing grease as it may last where the spindle bolt p***es through the frame (which is where I had trouble driving the old ones out).
The existing spindle bolt p***ed through a thick washer and then into the top bushing. The kit has a dished washer and felt washer and I ***ume these replace the thick washer. Should I reuse the thick washer or convert to the dished and felt washer?
