Hi to all, Im new here and looking for info and answers. I Retired from Ford 5 years ago and in that time have rebuilt a 41 Chevy ¾ ton. My plans are now to build a 32, 5 window with old Mopar Hemi power. I havent thought much about hot rods since 62 when my dad and I built a steel duce with a 331 hemi. I will be looking for advice on just about everything from the best magazines to study to good places to purchase components
The Rodder's Journal, Kustom Kar Kulture, and Rod and Custom are the only mags realy worth reading, but I wouln't bother studying them. You don't even have to buy them, really. You can get all you need right here. Three of the best hot rods being built(one is done), in my opinion: From England, who knows when it will be done, but when it is, holy shit!: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=267054 A young guy in Guernsey, a small island between England and france; incredible fabrication as well: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=556599 Last but definitely not least, Texas' own, The Bass Roadster: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=552336 not to leave anyone else out, there ate a score of taleted builders here, these three have just grabbed my attention lately.
