All legal and good to go now. Registered, warrant of fitness, insurance all done.......now we just need to get the tow vehicle through the same hoops before the middle of January!

  4. Have you entered the Dust Up? That looks like cool package right there. JW

  5. Nah mate. We are doing the street rod national run in Gisborne then the pre 49s at Cambridge as our 2 big journey this season. Getting leave is tough for my partner in the summer.

  6. That's cool, due to the time of your post before you would have still been home, Ken (Kume) made it here. I will most likely do a feature on the HAMB about it. The track may be a bit slippery tomorrow morning and there are 12 new cars in the Jalopy section. Good luck with the 53 Coupe Cert. Cheers JW

  9. Was a great day at the Dust Up. The track was a layer of mud until all the 1st rounds of racing were complete and by lunch time it was getting fast. I took Mike (gofannon)? out on the last run which was my fastest run. It may be on next year after all. JW

Thanks for the ride, JW. I'm still grinning. I've got to try to get my T there next year.

  13. Is that when you cut in on that coupe after passing him?

  14. Not this time but it took him over two laps to get me, Dean got past me on the upcoming back straight and i still kept close for the rest of the race. We were the final cars on the track for the day and the fourth race was my fastest...must have been Mike's ''go faster smile''. A lot of new cars this year. I will say it again, we had a great time. The maiden voyage of the roadster on the trailer went well. 9 hours on the road to Gisborne for the street rod nationals run. Very happy with the way it tows.

The second to last photo "Kookie Too" was built by Bear [hamber Surf City] killed in a car accident about 6 years ago. Neat guy and great builder, the bucket is still owned by his wife and daughter. Check out his last build on here, '36 3 window. Gone but not forgotten. RIP Bear
