  1. I Know its O/T, but well done to Scott Dixon. The first Kiwi to win at Indy! Just goes to show that Kiwis can fly.......Specially when they have enough gas to get across the finish line.:D:cool:

I agree. He and his guys really had them covered all day. A good job and a very deserved win.

Damn right, he must be stoked after last years almost...... joys of not living in Manurewa any more the boy can afford to fill the tank up (and not worry about it being siphoned and the wheels pinched overnight :) )

    Great. Go the Kiwi

  5. The result of many years of dedication and determination. A wonderful effort. And there's a few more young kiwis snapping at his heels.... (well, kiwis dont exactly snap, they're flightless birds :D )

  6. Great fun race to watch... quite a few wrecks this year, 2 or 3 in the pit lanes alone. i am so jealous of the kids that are 3 years younger then I am (23) tearing it up in those machines!!! SOBS!!! haha

You guys! I know we Aussies like to claim everyone as our own...but...get real. Scott Dixon is one of us. He was born in Brisbane. Keep trying though guys, you'll get there one day.

it was pretty good- some nice moves by Meira and I thought Danica was going to kill that guy when she got out of the car
really why security had to stop a 100lb girl from punching out a larger driver who clearly ran into her exiting his pit stall. It would have been great to see
    Congrats Dixon

  12. First time since the CART/IRL split that my Dad and I sat down and watched the race together. That in itself was cool.

Danica wasn't going to win, but it sucked when she got knocked out like that.

    Congrats to Dixon.

  13. Congrats to Dixon.
First Indy race that I have enjoyed in a long time. I think Danica is the best thing that has happened to the league in a long time. She at least has a personality, which Tony George is sorely lacking. Bunch of rich guys arguing while the "greatest spectacle in racing" disappeared. Danica has brought it back into the spotlight, lets hope they don't drop the ball again. George will probably kill it again if he has the chance. Some kids are just not able to take over the family business.

Was that his girlfriend at the finish?? I think the announcer said her name was Baaaabara Eweing? Bit wooly for my tastes....

  15. Danica is kinda like the A J Foyt of today!!! Ready to fight at a moments notice, HA HA HA!!!! She has proved that she deserves to be there AND she isn't affraid to speak up!
I really would have liked to be in the Andretti camp, after Marco running Kanan high in the turn, crashing him! Danica getting knocked out...Marco wasn't happy with the late wing adjustment...what a great discussion that must have been, LOL!!!!

It was a good race except the wrecks caused by doumb assed moves by other drivers.
Ryan Briscoe showed that he is a real horses ass with his comments about wrecking Danica though.

Congrats to Scott Dixon on a well driven race and his first Indy win.

Yes and yes. One of the better races in awhile.
It would have been nice to see Danica running at the end, just to see her finish in an honest position. I agree she is one of the best things to happen to that league in a long time. She's proven she is a player and I'm certain we'll hear more from her.
