My partners and I have a HAMB, HA/GR dragster and want to run the Airport Drags this summer (2009) We currently hold the HA/GR ET & MPH records.

Ron, the show is July 24-26 and the drags are Friday night 4-9pm. We would be happy to have you here with your car.

 

That is Bud "the cat" Anderson. He drove the El Matador from show to show when it was owned by AMT Model company.
I owned the El MAtador in the seventies and had many conversations with Bud and he was a great guy.

 

I think you have the Silhouette confused with the El Matador. I didn't see any pictures of the Silhouette.

Harold Murphy really deserves appreciation for saving the El Matador after a devastating fire. Literally rebuilt the car and it looks great.
After John McNally bought the car from me, his garage caught fire and literally burned to the ground with the El Matador inside.
