Event Coverage KKOA Salina KS, it's getting closer...

My wife and I are going to be coming. It is going to be our first time at the show but it looks like an awesome show. Can't wait.

 

We stayed till about noon on Sunday last year, still alot of cars around especially those that won an award and they gave out quite a few last year. I do believe this year the Omaha crew, me included, will head back earlier in the day on Sunday this year though.....something aobut someone in Omaha having a B'ville party.

 

We will be on the north side of the coliseum , main entrance in to the big parking lot, we will be there probably around 9:30 hang around utill 10:30 ish then head north.

seems to me a black suede 40 coupe damn near got sideways in ft. Scott but the tire smoke off of it blocked the view of the pretty red 40 in the back ground.

 

That is what happen? Sorry to get my story messed up I heard it differently

getting lined up to race and going the wrong way on a one way street. Humm

we'll just have to do it again!

 

I heard a rumour that the drags may start earlier this year?? Anybody know the starting time? notnurodz, don't sweat having the slowest car!! If they let me put the Suburban out there, I will probably hold the title!! I did break a personal goal at the H.A.M.B. drags last year, busting the 30 sec. barrier with a screaming 25 and change. That v/8 olds will eat me alive. Anxious!! ~Sololobo~

I haven't heard anything yet. I'm local and can't find out anything but I will try.

 

I'll probably have the slowest car....264 cubic inches of raw nailhead 2bbl power, backed up with the amazing dynaflow automatic wonder transmission..... I have read that the drags start at 4 pm, and I have read that the drags start at 5:30 pm......basically, I guessing that they'll start sometime in the late afternoon / early evening.

 

Ill be in on Friday around 10 pm. Leaving here at 5:30 or 6. Then head in for the long haul. Stayin at the Motel 6 North of 70 on Diamond drive. Cant wait this will be my first year as a HAMBER going.

 

Man I think I made wrong plans for this weekend, wonder if I still got time to change them

I don't know who it was, but I saw an Econoline van a green one pulling a two wheel trailer painted to match with 2 surfboards on top heading east on I-70 this afternoon.

 

Maybe the surf's up at Wilson lake.........

Who would be willing to drive a car from wichita that they just put a new motor in the day before up to the show? I'm hoping to get it all tied together tomorrow. Cant decide if I should risk it and cruise it up there sat morning. 1954 chevy 235 3 on the tree. I drove the car one time before the motor took a shit. So I basically would be taking the maiden voyage.

 

I had less than 200 miles on my new 265 in my 50 when we left for austin in it.Do it!

I was planning on cruisen up in the 26, but, I busted the axle last night@#%%^&. Will probably hitch a ride with a buddy. Anyone around the Wichita area know where I can find an axle shaft to fit a 65 chevelle rearend????? Lookin forward to the show!!!!
