No tig, i have a millermatic 180 and i set lower than suggested, and i move around a lot. it took me 3 hours to weld the hood. i dont use any high rpm grinder. i knock down the weld with a 1/8" stone on a die grinder, then clean it up with a 36g roloc. as for the lead i really concentrate the heat in the center and i keep my air hose close to keep the hear down. I dont know if it's the way the pros do it, but it works for me. I sure wish MY HOOD was as clean as this!! :( Oh well. live and learn!!:)

Are you gonna fill the indents of the rear bumper sides on the quarter panels?? The tailights look real awesome, i dig the style.

  4. Shit, looks awesome! Just needs a metalflake paint job. What kind of grill you gonna run? 53 chevy surround and bar with extra teeth would look good(?????)

So, whats the news?? How is the coupe coming? I think Ian should just surprise Mitch and chop the top. Just my 2 pennies.

Hey thank you soooooo much everybody!! Very stoked you guys like it! :)

Well, Mitch and his wife picked up the car tuesday night and they seemed very happy! I hope they are!?!?!?! It was dark.......my work looks better!

Wish i could have chopped it !!:(:)

The hood needs to be massaged a bit after he gets the body repaired and stripped down. The gaps are gonna need some serious attention.

    Thank you guys!!

    just blown away! WOW!

  9. car came out FANTASTIC!!!!

we drove down the street and pulled into a gas station to scan the whole car.

the profile is totally unique and flows like melted butter. the "Berkury" tail lights are a signature item on this one for sure!

    very pleased and very excited!!!

i said it once and i'll say it again, if you are in need of quality kustom work, get ahold of Ian ASAP. you won't be disappointed!!! the man is a detail hound. very meticulous attention is paid to every little thing and it shows in the final product.

i'm almost tempted to just go buy another one and drop it off just to see what comes out!!!

    Thanks again Ian Berkey Kustoms!!!

Thank you very much man!! I love lead, it's intimidating at first but once you get the hang of it, it's a lot of fun!! I still got a plenty to learn still and that's what's fun about this hobby!!:)

That car looks great! I seen the damage up close and personal, and from it to go from that to this is nothing short of a miracle. Ian is a magician!

He Ian- you just weld up the hood strait out or you put anything in to bring it flush?
