Hi I'm Tony and I first got into Custom Cars and Hot Rods at aged 13 when I used to go to school on the Isle of Wight (a tiny island at the bottom of the UK), I'd get Custom Car and Street Machine magazine to read on the train back home every few weeks (boarding school). I had my walls in my room plastered with various picture out of the mags. Mainly Morris Minors, as at the time, I was restoring (badly) a Moggy Thousand. By age seventeen the moggy was on the road and used as my daily driver, 'til i had a wheel cylinder blow and threw it in a ditch. Whilst the moggy was being rebuilt, i bought a rusty as hell Mini 1000. I slowly 'customised' this, smoothy boot, deseamed (with a hammer!!!) flip front, 8 cibies!! Blew it up, fitted an 1100. etc etc, Anyway, went to my first ever car show, Lazy Sunday at Hickstead in 1988. From then on was hooked. Had a few mates with Pop's with V8's. Carried on with minis for a while. Then went off the rails a bit with H*t H*tches. ****** Mk I, ****** Mk II, Polo, Renault 5 GTX, Polo, Honda CRX, Citroen BX, Honda Civic Coupe, Peugeot 405, Chrysler Voyager, Mercedes C250. Whilst messing around with these Hatches, my mate went off and bought a MkI Consul, he then roped me into helping him to fit a V6, during this time he introduced me to Paul Burnham (Burnham Autos rod shop) and the Throttlers, before we knew it, I was part of the Throttlers Club. I helped on various members cars, including building Paul's kids a totrod. (His youngest is now in the Army, that's how long ago it was!!!). From my club meetings I started going to the shows on 1996/97 and before we knew it.....I had to build my own car. I built the Rover with a lot of help from mate Roland, technical advise and use of tools and machinery from Paul Burnham, without both their help, and the constant pee taking from the rest of the throttlers, I'd never have got the old girl on the road. I also moderate on the NSRA forum (Uk version) I still get involved with other peoples cars...I can't help it. To date, I have helped build a V8 Consul, a Jago 32 pickup, Jago T Bucket, 32 ford 'highboy', rebuilt a Chevy sled, Ford Cl***ic, another 32 Jago, anglia, and various others. I drive a 1949 Rover P3 with V8 and five speed box. I have just 'updated' LOL to whitewalls:- More Pics Here
