Know what i'd like to see?

I have formally introduced myself. Sorry for skipping a step and any inconvenience this has caused.

 

So my question is , Why are british cars, Italian cars ,Volvos, british and italian bikes all acceptable as "rods" yet if anyone so much as owns a VW then they are retards?
I have VWs, I dont take them to Rod shows, I'll park in the parkinglot if I have to drive it , otherwise I would drive my Mercury. Then again My mercury isnt Traditional, but neither are all the other 4 door boats I see people flatblacking rolling on mooneyes hubcaps.
In all the stories my grandfather told about tearing up the Georgia with his model A rod he never once mentioned racing a 62 Impala down the dirt road, or a 56 chevy or a 61 Volvo or an Anglia.

Also , Busses are not hippy vans, That is an old ****ty steriotype that need to die.

Its an annoyance , kinda like when all the "rodders" keep asking when I am gonna dress up my car with proper Mooneyes equipment, flat black it, paint the rims red.. well , I guess i could get the obligitory sticker, Then I can be a true rodder, even If i do drive a 4 door boat.

 

There are still alot of stinkfoot hippies rolling busses out there, but prices for pre 67's have driven them out of the scene. They'd rather sell their 63 camper van for $15000.00, buy a 73 camper van for $3000.00 and have $12000.00 left over for tie-died t-shirts and hacky sacks.

 

Why have a problem with old Volkswagens? Are your cars made out of some kind of metal that I haven't heard about yet? OK, then it must be that they have some new and radical twist - like they dont have engines, or they fly instead of roll. This is easily the stupidest bunch of idiots I have ever seen.

WOW. I'm a German Jew that just signed up because I thought the site was cool Yessir, I'm feelin' the love here- I've been into Mercedes and Porsche hotrods (MB 6.3, 6.9, Porsche 930....) and my current project is a 1966 VW Type 34 "Grosser" Karmann- Ghia that is being built with Porsche- style domed pistons and cylinders and is having Digijet fuel injection added, as well as modified engine/ trans mountings a turbocharger, and disc brakes... then is being converted into a Convertible.
But, I guess youse guys don't consider that a hotrod or a custom? Hmmmmm.

I dont understand how VW threads can get out of hand like this time after time.

But they do, and that just might be the real reason Bugs are not as welcome here.

Some bugs are cool, and a lot of them are not.
But say something bad about a VW and some Bug owner will be offended ad ready to pick a fight over it.

Sofar I haven't seen a Anglia owner behave like that, or any of the other brands that were mentioned.

And besides that, some ****ed up **** has been posted on this Thread...
