Thats my boy, I was going to talk some stupid kid sense into you this wknd while Joe hit you with the lawyer talk.
I'll step in with an update form today. Darren Vic, and I made a really cool guitar: and Vic and Ron built Sam Barris's Merc to accompany the Kart to Detriot: Thats all we did, all day.
That picture of Daran was posted without the expressed written consent of the "Assman!" organization. Please "cease and desist". Yup, sounds just like the letter that came in from bOrris about putting bOrris on the door.
i would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone here on the hamb for all their support over the past 18 months regarding the "KOPPER KART PROJECT" a lot of great posts and replys. We all put so much of ourselves into this project. i still can not believe that in 2 weeks we will be on the road headed to detroit.. I am looking forward to meeting all of you in detroit. Later..KOPPER KART TEAM.

hey assman.....i didn't want anyone to see the sam barris merc either.....don't want him to think we're gonna clone that too..(its only a model)......
maybe you can clone george too,,,,just call him frank or something hey man,,,isn't it past your bedtime??
Just goes to show EVERYONE out there in HAMB land.....we're working so hard, and long, we're really gettin' SILLY! I's going well, but we still have a lot to do in 2 weeks!
Man I'm pissed that I did not make it down there this winter to help out... looks like fun! I would have given my Right arm..oh sorry Ed!
The Kart is looking great! Can't wait to see it in Detroit. After Detroit, are you bringing it back to NJ? I'd love to drive down and see it close up (though I would like to see the rest of the shop too ) Don't know how much of a business there is painting model cars though .
Thanks for all the updates on this truck. I look forward to seeing it done. I did some paintings of some Barris cars (Flamer, Hirohata, Alakart.) and when I contacted Barris he said that I could not do prints of them with the Barris crest on them. A question, is that the closest that you cold find for the mesh pattern in the grill? I suppose items like that can be hard to match.
A question, is that the closest that you cold find for the mesh pattern in the grill? I suppose items like that can be hard to match.[/QUOTE] From what we could measure from pictures of the truck, it should be an exact match. Oblong holes, (not exactly sure of the measurements) about 1/4" high, 3/4" long, with that exact spacing. We had to have a sheet metal shop custom stamp it like that, kinda costly! Do you have any info on it to be different? If so, there are a few other things on it we may have to change, or at least try, to get it as perfect as possible.
Chop First off I have a lot of respect for the build on the Kopper Kart so don't get me wrong with my comments about the grill that I posted. I could NOT do what you are doing. Here is what I was talking about on the grill. The bottom image is off your website of the grill. I do not know if this was a temporary grill or the one that you had made. You may even have something different on it now. The two images on top are of the original and are representative of what I found. The number on the side represents the rows of "holes" visible at the photo angle. I count basically 14 rows in your grill vs. 22 visible in the original photos. 8 rows different makes a big difference in the mesh. Respect to you and your crew B
