I'm in on this one, I like the pink as well. Something different for a change, but, then again, I am different, so I keep getting told. Cheers

I think you’ve got some pretty good mods going on so far. I prefer the ’57 single headlight setup, but the quads work on this one.

One of my favorite colors is Panther pink. One day I’ll paint something that color, I love custom pickups as well!

I had this plan to graft ‘57 Ford car rear quarters to a pickup bed. You could do the same with 59 quarters. Sounds far-fetched, but is doable.

I for one like the rear look with the backup lights and tail lights. Nice job.

That would be cool, if I could find some rear quarters

Now that one can see where you are going with the backup lights it's gonna work nice; the pink is great, especially with the splash of white on the roof. The wires that came with it would look good with the bright color IMO with a more traditional styled three bar spinner cap.

Thank you. I was iffy about the wheels and they were in rough shape so I decided to change them. I'm going to attempt to modify some 50s hubcaps and put them on

59 quarters on the bay right now. You don’t need that lower rusty part, just the top half and rear part. D55E91E0-C04B-4912-9F5B-69E565E68F50.jpeg

My .02: Don't listen to these guys who are not secure in their manhood. I love the pink. Pink w/ white scallops would look great. Keep the mods coming. The more radical the better. When does the top chop start?

I'm in Florida and parts are hard to come by around here. Those would look cool though

Lol thanks, I'm trying to really think out the mods before I build some off the wall rolling dumpster. I'm still undecided if I want to Chop the top

i vote no on the top chop these year of fords tops are perfect height, when they are chopped it makes them look to bottom heavy. i like that your being cautious, change for the sake of change is rarely a good thing unless you are going for a clown mobile

Yeah I kinda agree, a small Chop looks good but I don't know if it's worth all that work. And yes, just because you can doesn't mean you should, I feel like some people don't understand that

I cut out the stock grille and mocked up a 1951 Plymouth grille. Wasn't digging it so I found another set of teeth and narrowed the center bar. Still have to figure out how to mount it and might add some mesh behind it.

White bumper was a sectioned 57 fairlane bumper I had on there for a bit. 20221014_190850.jpg 20221013_192450.jpg 20221025_180227.jpg

Sorry, sir. After re-reading my sig line, I realized that might be a little harsh. Do you think you might find it in your heart to consider another color?

I'm a Chevy guy, and don't know squat about Fords, so please don't hold that against me,
but I always thought the 57-59 square bodies were the coolest. Maybe that comes from having a bunch of Tonka trucks as a kid. I really dig the 6 tooth grille insert and the chrome bumper if the bumper were raised up a couple inches.
Also, don't chop the top, the proportions are right as it is. Anything you do to the rear end will help over the stock tail...
    OK, I'll shut up now:)

Lol I appreciate it man. Yeah the stock rear on these trucks are rough, still might spruce up the tailgate too. Thanks for the input

now that is a perfect comparison picture corncob posted look at the difference in height on the side windows. the 53-55 could use a little, very little chop and look better, for your grille maybe custom would be the single headlite 57 grille, hard to beat that look. i don't know how the 53-56 grille would look or fit but it is a pretty handsome piece

Started some round stock to clean up the reverse lights.... Finished the corners of the tailgate, don't know why ford left it at that weird angle. 20221025_193910.jpg 20221026_181702.jpg 20221026_200748.jpg 20221026_200849.jpg

well,i thought 'between' that outside edge of gate/inside edge of box corner=instead of just flat tie -in
