I guess it's going to be a tad hard to import new ones from now on from what I hear?

    Nice stuff!

This one belongs to Fat141 here on the HAMB. First pic of it was when it was still a four door and the second pic is after the conversion into a two door.

  8. You mean the black Chev ute?

RI5KY, you might want to delete the Willys coupes. No way are they customs.

And how custom is the F truck? Just looks like it's on bags to me.

The Black Chev ute belongs to a mate of mine. It is a genuine Aussie built car from GM. (as all the Utes were.) The Rego branch had him jumping through hoops, asking for import papers, because they told him it was a U.S. import, which had been converted to RHD. After a LOT of hassle, they finally believed him. Fully registered and a Top Car. Drives it everywhere.

Here's a pic of my work in progress. Been a work with no progress for a couple of years, until the other day. The other one is a friend's Chevy (52 or something like that). It's been on the road for a few years now. Was a sedan, then a convertable, & now a 2 door. He did all the work himself. A nice lobuck cruiser.

That Willys Gasser is not a Custom (or Kustom)

  21. Ok, gasser style Willys and bagged F trucks are customs. What do I know?

Oh, and highboy '34 roadsters too I see.

That Chevy has been finished for a few years now. It came up really nice. All the work was done by the owner. He does some great work!

I should speak to him about chopping my mordor.

  24. Man you've a big job with that one! Looks like your mate's got the roof happening pretty good so far.

Sorry Louie, I went back and read it again and realised the second one was you mate's car.

Not too sure what you mean here. Take your time and read what you have typed.
Gassers are not customs and air bags alone do not make a custom, but thanks for posting the pics anyway.
Fk, that 52 Chevie two door looks cool. :D

sorry mate, yer gassers are not customs, i understand that and am sorry for poasting them, just thought as the style of which they have been built to would tie in with the kustom scene, the F truck has been nosed, body shaved ( not all ) wheel alterations, stepped chasis and airbags which in my eyes makes it a mild kustom
    regards

I really like what looks to be a 51 Chevy. I could be wrong but would like to see more of it. The top left picture with the custom roof, skirts.

    Nice pictures, thanks for posting.

Nice selection of American Customs, take out the couple of Willys and one rod that dont belong. You have posted 33 pictures, but only three cars in this set were originally manufactured in Australia but based on American makes. The rest are American imports, and a persentage of these were bought in America already customised and then imported.

You should have titled this post as American Customs in Australia.

Its a shame you have not posted any Australian based Cars that have been customised.

  30. Great pics, thanks for sharing.
