Show off some pictures of yours or someone elses garage, I am redoing mine, putting in better lighting and need some ideas how to set it up.

How do you fit all of your stuff inside the little red (x)? [IMG]
I'd show pics of mine, but it's nothing special. 500 hellish square feet. Full of 'inventory,' stereo, beer fridge, compressor, tools, the usual. Lots of lighting, though, you need that.

What kind of tile did you use on the floor - I was thinking of using Armstrong Commercial stuff, but I was afraid that the tire heat would jack it up...

    thanks!

commercial grade tile...haven't had a problem with the tire heat yet,it's only been done since september....but they do leave a slight impression that you can see when the light reflects on it

How does it handle a floor jack, stands or cherry picker rolling around on it?

i guess you could use little matts for under the tires...like carpet squares or something ,if you started having a problem

I had a friend have his car stolen once... he did a chalk outline on the concrete where it was.

I like to be isolated from concrete floors. I highly recommend the interlocking floor tiles that Costco sells. They're two feet square, and you get six of them in a pack for under twelve bucks. These tiles are extremely comfortable to walk or stand on. You wouldn't want to roll an engine stand over them, so when they're in the way, just pick them up and set them aside. In the picture above, you can see that I've put them around a 6-by-14-foot piece of dumpster carpet (in two areas of the back end of my shop), which can also be moved out of the way without much work. This is the most comfortable floor that I've ever been around, and it wasn't expensive at all.

Wallboard pegs are handy so you don't have to climb over the project to get a wrench out of the toolbox. [IMG]

he also has several display cases full of all kinds of neat stuff in the garage. he's in the process of building an "office" on the side of the garage and will likely display most of his "neat stuff" in there when it's done. have i mentioned i hate him sometimes?? [IMG]
