OK, question to you guy's that keep your collectible goodies out in your garage. How do you keep them from getting musty and mildewy? How do you keep you cardboard cutouts and posters from not buckling and getting ruind? My garage has block walls and I'd like to brighten them up a little so the light reflects better, should I paint or put up drywall? later plmczy

the block walls are prolly alot of your problem. use a good EPOXY paint on the walls and floor. it's a good vapor barier and should cut down on condensation quite a bit. my buddy Dave's keeps the furnace on in his all the time (in the colder weather). he just turns it down to like 50 when he's not in there, i think that would help alot too. you could also put a dehumidifier out there and see what that does for ya. i used one in my old shop cause it was always wet in there. i had to empty the thing about every couple hours!!

We dont have a problem here in the desert with mildew and humidity...we do have a problem with DUST! Lost of dirt and dust then mix in the wind!

You could always seal your block wall with a good epoxy like mentioned then hang some dry wall, the kind that is meant to handle moisture.

cool, thanks for the tips guy's. My one buddy's garage always has alot of moisture in his garage in the spring time(it sits at the base of a mountain)and it's always cold. I haven't notice any moisture in mine though this year, maybe because it sits out in the open where the sun hit's it pretty much all day. later plmczy

that cause you have a "REAL" garage, like me, one that gets used ALL the time. you prolly own more crap than you have space for too. i know that is one of my biggest problems. though i do envy the big pretty garages they just are'nt realistic for me at this time. now, if i had one big enough, i could keep most of it pretty and just mess up one small part. something to shoot for i guess.

mines pretty similar to Smokin Joes, looks to be about the same size to! I got an old wooden canoe hanging from the roof and an old ten speed bike, and no peg board, I try to spread my tools evenly around the floor so I can easily locate them without rummaging thru toolboxes and whatnot
