I feel exactly the same about this build thread prolly my favorite thread period! I too have re-read it a million times, inspired me enough to buy the $100 piece of crap below:



To me I see a 3 window in there somewhere ! In about a month I am driving about 6-7 hrs to get the body below to add to the mix ! It will be steel and be a 3 window and thats all that matters, congrats CHRISP !

From what I recall from seein it in January at GNRS the colour looked to be HOK's "Root Beer", possibly shot over a silver base with some "Ice Pearl" and red toner added. If shot over a gold base, that could possibly explain some calling it "Burgundy''.

Film, ink,as in printing, almost never captures and reproduces the true nature of a colour as you'd see it in natural light.

just got done reading the build thread...amazing and well deserved

 

I was actually turned off by the color at first but the more I look at it the more I like it. I've seen it in person and it is a amazing ride.

I gotta hand it to Chrisp (Chris) for all of the hard work, he beat that metal into submission! I wish he was still in the U.S. to enjoy the finished product. Plus the rest of my guys who helped finish it.

I am personally taking it to the show in Arizona.... I PROMISE TO PUT SOME AIR IN THE FRONT BAGS!

BTW: the owner REALLY does drive the livin crap out of it! He told me: "What the fuck, it is a car, cars are for driving... what else would I do with it?"
