Had a customer want to change over to LED bulbs but still maintain glass lenses. For the size of the bucket and ease of install went with '50 Pontiac bullets from speedway. Unfortunately he had to cut the bucket into a couple of pieces to get it apart, so I had to glue it back together. Sent from my SM-G973U using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Since the Pontiac assembly has studs I had take the out and cut a ring to fit it to the bucket. Sent from my SM-G973U using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Quick test fit to check the look and make sure all the hardware is in line so the set screw is on the bottom of the trim ring when installed on the car. Sent from my SM-G973U using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Lots of tig welding, followed by lots of sanding. Sent from my SM-G973U using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Fancy instagram photo. Looks like a rocket ship. Very happy with how it turned out and that it looks as cool as it did in my head. Sent from my SM-G973U using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Excellent work. That would be a $500 tail light counting time and materials. Thanks for not adapting 59 Caddy lenses.
The bulb post and connectors were pretty rotten and the screws and threads holding the bucket to the stanchions were all rusted solid causing the customer to cut the bucket into pieces so a bunch of the work would have had to be done anyways and this looks cooler than just flat glass. Around $325. The other side only needs the light adapted so it'll be around $145. Sent from my SM-G973U using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
