    I found it. Page 15 September 05 Old School Rodz. There some changes from the original version. If it`s not the same car. the yellow Merc was used for inspiration. The dip in doors are removed, bubble skirts with buick sidetrim and Kaiser bumper gaurds. The taillights are different , lake pipes have been changed and was made into a hardtop. If this is not it, where did the original go.

    I'm thinking it was like a 55-ish Olds turned into a pickup way back when. It was on the HAMB here someplace a while back about someone finding it and restoring it.

    The clear top on that Chevy is unbelievable! Having put three tops on my Pontiac convertible myself, I can not imagine the effort to do a clear one. That is just too cool.

    I got a kick out of the guy that owns this California plated '57 ...he entered the "You gotta drive 'em" special parking area and had a sign in his window that said he drove "over 800 miles to this event." I didn't have the heart to tell him put on over 4,000 miles on my '55 Caddy just a couple of months before on my Canada trip...

    Don't see too many Cadillac "roadsters"...but there were TWO at Scottsdale...I didn't get a good shot of the '48/'49 but the whole rear seat was blanked in...please note, these are NOT the same car...
