    It is hard to flame a Merc and make it look right. Seems like the belt line always gets in the way. I did like the flames on Dave's Merc. If it was mine I would prefer what it is today because I like the solid color.

    I've got to echo Roger 's point but on a different car. I like the former Shane Savage "High School Confidential" custom way better in the lavender suede back in '03 versus the brown it is today. Always dug the car though, gets driven all over the country! E

    about 10 years ago I bought a bunch of old 2x2 car show photos from the sixties. here is an early shot of that 40 that Dave Stuckey did. the same car that showed up on ebay a few years back and at Salina this year. Look at the size if the header outlets!!!
