Sancho, I think you're right, very interesting choice of parts, I wonder what the reasoning behind it was. Perhaps used so they could eliminate the vent wing but still have pop-out windows?

Not the original owner as the custom was sold at an auction several years ago, new owner doesn't know all the details.

    Yes, it could be.
No matter what, still tons of work had to be done.

You guys are really frustrating me. When I moved to Florida I threw away 100's of pictures I took of customs at KKOA and other events. Many of which were in color of the black and white shots shown on this forum. I am including some that I think were taken at the 1989 Leadsled Spectacular at Holland Michigan.

Great pic`s Buick Boy. It kind a got dusty if you parked back in the trees. There were a bunch of Doug Thompson built cars there with the Packard(Evening Shadow) pictured above winning the Harry Bradley award.

The A-Bros.-built "Venturian" is a truly unique custom, and a former Riddler Award winner.

I've loved it since it's first version, especially for the padded top pleat inset, which carried through the 3D rear window!

D'Agostino's? If so...This thing started with a ride that was once owned by Gene Autry!
(This means nothing to many here, but Gene Autry remains in the top twenty highest grossing singers/entertainers
    of all time!)
