I saw this pic and that was my first thought too. My brain is wired to think post-war when it comes to traditional customs. There were some great custom built from earlier iron, usually as far back as say, a '36 Ford. But Jim Stanley could draw custom inspiration from a car that is generally considered 'hot-rod' material. I mean, who puts fender skirts on a '33-'34 Ford?? The car above would definitely be right up his alley. Wish we could have seen his Mopar version of a 30's custom.
