Rikster always wanted to do a my own version of the 1941 Packard Roadster "Gable" created by OZ Welch for John D'Agostino. I love the car they created, but wanted to do a bit more streamlined version, with a lower trunk section and less "Darrin dip", longer front fenders, a little less chrome, '41 Cadillac bumpers and full size custom hubcaps. When I came across a nice size side view I knew I had to give it a try.

  26. Back in the summer of '93, (I think) Jimmy Vaughn came rolling into the Iowa State Fairgrounds in that Riv. I remember it distinctly to this day. All I saw was a breathtakingly cool custom Riv with blues music blaring and a Kool Kat with shades and slicked back hair laid back in the seat. My 16 year old self had no idea who Jimmy was or SRV for that matter, but at the time I remember thinking, 'that is the coolest dude I've ever seen!' He backed that Riv in right next to us, and we chatted off and on all day, didn't know until later I had spent time with a living legend.
