  5. ^^^^ Hope you can make it to the RIDE this year. Looks like you'll have to paint your Ford green now.

That's because it is Bills El Camino. The pic was taken in Salina, by the area where they were chopping a top at the old park. In the back ground you can see the Chevy that was chopped the fist year it was held in Salina.

  11. Lol. I know that's Hines' El Camino. I went and got the photos off Rik's site.
I was saying that '59 Impala Roger posted sure looks like Bill's El Camino.

I see the similarities now. Sorry, that Packard derailed my train of thought.

  13. liked this one too on the OSW, maybe someone has an interior shot of this one, it was made with a central instrument from what i think was a 60s Chrysler Astradome,

  16. That Winfield built '57 was black/gold the first time around.

  18. Probably salt, the kind you'd buy for a water softener. That's used a lot.

The Aztec, The Hirohata Merc - driving them cross country back in the day was apparently not that unusual:

And I like how the quarter panel and the rear bumper blend together. Tasty!

Kenny would be glad you like his car (54 Plymouth). He is building it with some of my guidance, and has become a very talented metal shaper, and welder. Has a good eye for proportion and modifications.

  27. I studied and studied that car at Indy this year. I don't consider '54 Plymouths particularly pretty cars to start with and would never pick on to build as I lack the vision to turn it into something. Kenny clearly is building something special and I applaud his efforts and your guidance.....it's going to be a great car with lots of sneaky, subtle touches. I look forward to seeing more.

Here's a few more from the GG's event in Puyallup, Washington...this is a '41 Ford...

    IMG_5415.JPG
    And a Mercury...
    IMG_5441.JPG

This '56 was reportedly built in the '60's. The owner's kids rebuilt the car after it had set for many years and presented it to their Dad... IMG_5465.JPG
Of course, we have to post a Mercury for Mick...
