That had to be one of the first appearances. I think Ed told me it is from 1958 and that was the year it was completed if memory serves.

All I know is its for sale on eBay and I wish that I had the money. I'd change a few things and just Purrr it down the highway...

Taillights, tail pipes and maybe the stance. Car is beautiful, it needs to stay early style Kustom.

  5. Sounds about right. I would add the mirrors to that list as well. Needs to be a little lower in the back. I can't even believe that someone used those Cadillac taillights on a car that pretty much every other styling cue is from late 40's early 50's. It's like they got to the back and said the hell with subtle lets make it as gaudy as possible.

I agree with those who are saying that Buick is a stunner but the tail lights are a real shame. Mirrors and stance too but those are easy fixes, not sure what it'd take to undo those lights without having to do a major repaint.

We took Rachel's $1 Chevy out a few weeks ago, ran great but has a noise in the transmission, which is concerning. Scooped up a '53 parts car with a Powerglide rearend, if the trans has to come out, that's getting swapped in during the process.

Not to get off topic, but does Hub ever get his 32 out. And when was the last time.

Agree with you there, plus the mirror got to go.

The interior is a little out of sync too, and some engine detailing is required if you want to show it off.
Keep the hood closed and its okay..

  9. It's a custom the only time the hood should be open is when you are working on the engine.

  10. Jim, I'm not sure when the last time was but I think it's been awhile since Hub had the '32 out.

Rik Hoving posted this on FB. Love this NY'r........ Johan Norlin has been working on his 1957 Chrysler New Yorker custom for many years. And now it is almost ready to hit the road. Last night Johan send me his la...test set of pictures taken after doing some test runs. He will fix a few of the bugs and then get the car ready for inspection.
This amazing Custom Car is a nice mix in styles from the Factory Design studies to the paint inspiration from the Barris Ala Kart or R&C Dream Truck.

Check out all the little details Johan has incorporated in his Chrysler Custom on the Custom Car Photo Archive site. http://public.fotki.com/…/custom_cars_…/johan-norlin-1957-c/

  24. Sweet! Love the taillights they used, as well as the neat buckets and the mesh. Subtle but it looks like a lot of time and effort went into them. Looks great! E

  26. I knew they were Olds but I wasn't sure of the year. They sure are cool! E
