Features Kustoms blues? I need to see some kustoms....

Custom Blues? What does a hot rod guy that also is an avid surfer do when the swell comes in? Shoulder high waves, consistent swell, peaks and long walls, blue ocean, a sunny day and only a few people out surfing… (school is in session…)

Why, he gets in his just completed supercharged motor build of a chopped 50 Ford , in the middle of a buffing job and takes off for those pristine waves and surfing conditions. The popular break usually has 50 surfers + out on a Saturday, but this was a Tuesday and only a few guys+ two girls were out surfing the pristine waves.

One never knows how long the swell will last, even with the computer programs available.


The small surfboard easily fit inside and are lightweight to boot. No more longboards in the trunk sticking out or a battleship tied to the roof.

Those waves are usually hitting several surf spots along the coastline, so that also takes into account, the local folks and not the traveling surfers looking to surf the best waves possible. But, the waves just kept coming in to the wide surf spots, allowing plenty of single surfer waves all the way to the shore break. YRMV
Is this enough power to get to the shore line parking spot and those pristine waves? I'll say...
