Love the EL Camino

 

George Liddle. I dealt with a George Liddle and his body shop in Crestwood, Illinois,
a Chicago southern suburb, on Cicero Avenue through the '80s to the mid '90s. I wonder,
though, if his name was actually "Little". I was a Ford partsman at the time and had
occasion to go to the shop. Had I seen a custom anything there I'd have pumped George
for information.

John Denich's WATSON CLONE

 

I used to freak every time my parents drove by Trend Automotive and I'd see the Trendero
in the front window. We were always heading somewhere so I never asked my dad if we
could stop and take a look at it. I'm not sure of the color at the time, this color or possibly
a copper tone? Years later I started hanging with John Malik's (owner of Trend Auto) son
but never had the sense to ask if he or his dad had photos of the car. John Sr. moved to
Leesburg, Florida and opened up Gator Harley Davidson. He p***ed away in 2014.
