  16. That's funny! Small world indeed. That was my everyday car back then...and the newest car I owned at the time. LOL That same weekend, Dave Wolk had his yellow Caddy convertible with the cowhide/zebra print interior. I loved that interior and promptly when home and started planning a zebra interior for the Dodge. I was pleased with how it turned out. Eventually, I sold the car, but it's still around mostly the same as how I sold it.

Sometimes I still get real sad with myself that I missed the Whitworth auction and think that I could have been in the running to end up with the LaJolla. naturally, then there would have been two people bidding on it and I would have quickly been out of the running, but hey, I guy can dream and kick himself over what might have been. LOL But, if I would have ended up with Harry's car, I doubt I would have bought Myron's Grapevine years later....and I do love me a Grapevine. :D

  20. Great pics, J. Hansen. Looks like customs are alive and well over in your neck of the woods.
The '58 Ford looks super with the Buick grille in it, and the '57 Chevy bumper finishes it off nicely! E

I am very impressed with the front end treatment on the Ford. On my first look, I concentrated on the front end. Take a second look. I think it is a Ranchero!

  30. Sharp eye! I looked closer and you're right, it is a Ranchero. That makes it even better. E
